The Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce and Allthatstory America will host an exporting seminar for businesses interested in learning more about the South Korean market from 9 a.m. to noon July 24.
The event will be held at the Eagan Fire Safety Center, 1001 Station Trail. The seminar is sponsored by the Minnesota Trade Office in association with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.
The program is designed to assist companies invest or export in South Korea in accordance with the 2012 U.S. - Korea Free Trade Agreement. After the seminar, specialists will be on hand to meet one-on-one with businesses to provide detailed information on specific investment programs.
South Korea was Minnesota's seventh-largest export market in 2013, with $624 million in goods sold, according to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. Optical and medical products, machinery and plastics were the leading exports.

Farmington complex sold
Investors' interest in apartment complexes continues to spread throughout Dakota County.
Burnsville has been one of the metro area's most active markets, with several large properties changing hands. More recently, a 68-unit complex known as Centennial Apartments and Heritage Apartments in Farmington was sold to a local private investor, who paid $3.9 million for the property, according to documents filed with the Minnesota Department of Revenue.
The purchase price was above the complex's most recent taxable value of $3.28 million, according to Dakota County property records.
Research building changes hands
A St. Paul company recently bought a research and development building in Mendota Heights from a local group of investors.
Mid-States Distributing Co. Inc. paid $1.52 million for the property at 1370 Mendota Heights Road, according to documents filed with the Minnesota Department of Revenue. The price is a premium over the property's most recent taxable value of $1.04 million, according to Dakota County property records.
The 20,000-square-foot building is 30 years old and sits on 1.7 acres.
Mid-States is a buying group made up of more than 150 independently-owned farm and ranch store operators throughout the U.S. and Canada.
