Here we go again. Just weeks after Robyne Robinson left the air and short months before Don Shelby departs, KSTP's lead anchor has announced her departure. Here's the press release from the station.

Minneapolis/Saint Paul, MN – 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS anchor Cyndy Brucato has announced plans to leave the anchor desk at the end of the summer, but will continue to anchor the 6:30 p.m. newscast through the Minnesota State Fair. "It's been a blast and now it's time to turn my attention to my own communications company," Brucato said. Brucato will continue to work with 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS on special projects. Brucato has worked with KSTP-TV starting in 1979. She has won a Peabody Award and a National Emmy. "It's an understatement to say that Cyndy has been an asset to 5 Eyewitness News," said Rob Hubbard, president of Hubbard Broadcasting. "Her reporting, anchor and communications skills are greatly appreciated and we hope she can remain part of the KSTP family in other areas." "I'm looking forward to a new chapter, a terrific summer, and the chance to be with our viewers at the State Fair," Brucato said. "And I'll always consider myself part of the team."
