Sunday Courteney Cox's character survived a knife attack last year, but that's nothing compared with how "Dirt" (9 p.m., FX) managed to come back for a second season, despite middling ratings. Maybe they promised more smooching scenes between Cox and Jennifer Aniston.
Monday In the new reality series "The Secret Life of a Soccer Mom" (9 p.m., TLC), stay-at-home mothers get the chance to have two dreams come true. First, they get to spend a week sampling their fantasy careers. Second, they get to spend time with the host, former "Growing Pains" star Tracey Gold. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!
Tuesday
In the new series "New Amsterdam" (8 p.m., KSMP, Ch. 9), a homicide detective played by hunky Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is blessed (cursed?) with immortal life in New York City until he finds his true love. He's been around since 1642. And I thought my dating life was a failure.
Wednesday It's been a couple of weeks since I saw the latest stage production of "My Fair Lady," and, much to the chagrin of my friends and colleagues, I'm still humming the tunes. Loudly. The volume might even go up a notch after catching the 1964 film version (9 p.m., TCM) with Rex Harrison and Audrey Hepburn.
Thursday Our neighbors to the north, who gave us Ellen Page and really good bacon, are lending us an award-winning miniseries, "Terminal City" (8 p.m., Sundance), about a cancer-stricken woman who becomes a star on the reality show "Post Op!" As good Americans, we will most likely steal this idea by next season.
