Fred Couples gave a player commitment to the 3M Championship on Thursday, meaning each of the top 30 money winners on the Champions Tour this season is expected in the field when the tournament comes to TPC Twin Cities in Blaine on Aug. 1-7.
"Our strongest field ever," tournament director Hollis Cavner said.
Among the other big names expected are Tom Watson, Nick Price, Mark O'Meara, Bernhard Langer and Minnesotan Tom Lehman. Eight-time PGA Tour winner Brad Faxon turns 50 on Aug. 1, and is expected to make his Champions Tour debut.
The Greats of Golf challenge is also back, with Arnold Palmer as the event's headliner.
Admission is free all week.
