    To correct a July 30 story about National Transportation Safety Board findings in the I-35W bridge collapse: The compression forces that fractured the bridge's corroded L-11 East gusset plate were consistent with secondary impacts sustained after the bridge began to fall. Also, the story reported incorrectly that some of the first signs of movement on a video of the collapse were around the L-11 West and nearby U-10 West gusset plate connections. U10 was not visible in the video. L-11 West stayed intact as the bridge began to fall.

The proposed change would override a recent Minnesota law that requires hospitals to offer rape victims emergency "Plan B" contraception. If the rule passes, hospitals would have an option whether or not to offer emergency contraception.

    A story on Page D2 Friday incorrectly described Ecolab's 2008 earnings projection. The company increased its full-year earnings target to $1.85 to $1.88 per share. In April, the company said it expected earnings of $1.84 to $1.88 per share.
