The schedule: On Saturday, the women will race at the 500-, 1,000- and 3,000-meter distances, while the men will compete at 500, 1,000, 3,000 and 5,000 meters. Sunday's program includes 500-meter, 1,500-meter and mass start events for each gender.
Top Minnesotans: Several local skaters who will compete at the Olympic trials later this month will be racing in Roseville. Paul Dyrud of Crystal is among the highest-ranked Americans this season in the men's 1,500 and 5,000. Leah Lambert of Blaine and Mike Blumel of Woodbury compete in sprint events and also are among the top tier of American skaters.
