Brand in Brief: Mercury
Ford's Mercury brand stands as a legendary badge with a long history. These days, the brand offers five models. The Grand Marquis, which really hasn't changed in a long time, will be available as a 2009 model, though Auto Week speculates that it may be discontinued in 2011. Base price is $29,585. The mid-sized Milan sedan is back for 2009. Auto Week predicts a restyling for the model next year. Its base price is $20,610. Mercury's Sable also continues for 2009. Auto Week says the Sable offers "a nice combination of interior space and power for a large family sedan." Prices for Sable start at $25,250. Finally, Mercury offers two SUVs, the Mountaineer, which is a fancier version of Ford's Explorer (base price: $28,040) and the Mariner, which sells for a starting price of $23,035.
