Brand in Brief: Dodge
Dodge offers a variety of models for its 2009 lineup, Car and Driver reports. Dodge's stable includes the Avenger, which receives a much-needed acoustic package "makeover" that reduces cabin noise; the Caliber, which gains UConnect Tunes, which can store up to 6,000 songs and photos, and UConnect GPS; and a cool group of Challenger versions-the SE, R/T and SRT8. Dodge also continues to offer the Charger, which has its own share of muscle versions including a limited edition Super Bee "buzz model" in Hemi Orange. Even bigger power has been added to Dodge's popular SUV, the Durango. The Dodge Grand Caravan (along with Chrysler's Town & Country) becomes the first in the minivan segment to feature the "Blind Spot Monitoring" and "Rear Cross Path" advance safety systems. Still other changes and enhancements have been made to Dodge's Journey, Nitro, Ram 1500, Ram 2500/3500/Chassis Cab and the Viper SRT10. Dodge's Dakota pickup truck and Sprinter van remain unchanged for the model year. Dodge's Magnum model will be discontinued.
