Originally introduced at the 2007 International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, Germany, the all-new Dodge Journey is a segment-defining mid-size crossover.
It delivers versatility, safety, child friendliness, loads of storage, cargo and seating flexibility, as well as all-weather driving capability. The Journey is on sale now at Dodge dealers throughout the United States.
The Dodge Journey is available in front- or all-wheel drive configurations with base power generated by a 2.4L four-cylinder World Engine. An E-85 capable 2.7L V-6 and powerful 3.5L V-6 are available options. The engines are connected to four- or six-speed transmissions.
Dodge's Journey takes the capabilities of a sport-utility vehicle (SUV) and the overall efficiency of a passenger car and blends all the best attributes of each into an all-new "right-sized" crossover. It is more than marketing hype. The Journey is the real deal.
The Journey rides on the automaker's global D-segment vehicle platform. Control hardware features a four-wheel independent suspension with McPherson struts up front and a multi-link rear suspension.
Inside the cabin is where the magic happens. A modern dashboard creates a clean, airy environment. Displays, controls and switchgear are all new and easy to use. Dodge engineers pulled out all the stops to make this interior the most versatile and easy to use. There also is plenty of storage. From the large under-floor cargo storage bin to the front passenger seat that has a bin in the seat bottom, then folds flat for additional cargo hauling capabilities, the Journey has to be experienced to be fully appreciated.
