Her fans and “American Idol” viewers already know how well Carrie Underwood can sing a tune, and now they’ll learn how well she can spin a yarn. The “Idol”-reared star – country music’s top-selling woman of recent years -- is bringing her in-the-round Storyteller Tour to Xcel Energy Center on Monday, Oct. 17.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for $49.50 and $79.50 through Ticketmaster.com, 1-800-359-2525 or the arena box office. Easton Corbin and the Swon Brothers will open.

Last seen in town for a sold-out Minnesota State Fair Grandstand concert last summer, Underwood kicked off her Storyteller Tour in January and has been filling the shows with stories about her son, Isaiah, her career and her favorite all-time singer, Dolly Parton.
