Plus: Where can kids eat free?
Oh Baby! children's store and Que Sera home furnishings shared an outlet that closed last August, so the store will purge the overstocks at a warehouse sale through Saturday. Save 30 to 70 percent on children's clothing from past winter and summer seasons, accessories, cribs, beds, bedding and juvenile furniture.
The Oh Baby! items will be about two-thirds of the merchandise, with Que Sera making up the rest with furniture, bedding, pillows, lighting and decorative accessories.
The location for the sale is 4 Shady Oak Road, Hopkins, 952-928-9119, www.ohbabystyle.com. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.Where can kids eat free?
A new site (www.outtoeatwithkids.com) has joined several others to help parents find restaurants in their area where kids eat free. Most of the sites offer a list of restaurants based on the day of the week and a nearby ZIP code, which makes it handy when traveling.
Summer officially began last week, but the clearance sales on summer patio and garden supplies are already in progress at the discounters. Target has most of its patio furniture in stores and some pieces online discounted 30 to 50 percent. Check online supplies if stores are sold out. Wal-Mart also has many of its sets on sale in stores and online. Choose ship-to-store to save on shipping.
The week before the July 4th is also a good time to stock up on supermarket items that traditionally go on sale before the 4th, including hot dogs, hamburgers, barbecue sauce, condiments, charcoal, salad dressing, potato chips, dips and soft drinks. This week Rainbow and Cub have Pepsi on sale. Rainbow's price is $1.98 per 12-pack, but you have to purchase five 12-packs and spend an additional $10. Cub's price is $2.22 per 12-pack, but you have to purchase four and bring the coupon from Sunday's flier.
