ProUroCare Medical Inc., Eden Prairie, announced the successful completion of its tender offer to holders of certain outstanding warrants, resulting in gross proceeds to the company of $1.6 million. Proceeds are to be used to accelerate certain technology enhancements and design improvements to the company's ProUroScan product and expand the number of ProUroScan system placements for clinical studies, as well as for working capital, operating expenses and other general corporate purposes.

DIVIDENDS

G&K Services Inc., Minnetonka, declared a quarterly dividend of 7.5 cents per share payable Dec. 24 to shareholders of record Dec. 10.

LAWSUIT

LecTec Corp., Texarkana, Texas, formerly headquartered in the Twin Cities, announced it has settled with Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. on litigation related to two LecTec patents. Endo Pharmaceuticals has agreed to pay $23 million for the exclusive license to these two patents for use in the field of prescription pain medicines and treatment.

Lights out at U energy conference. Irony police notified.

Just as Lawrence Kazmerski, a top official at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, was about to give the keynote address at the University of Minnesota's annual E3 conference at the RiverCentre in St. Paul, the lights went out, bathing the audience in darkness and a deep sense of irony.
