Express Scripts announces $60 million expansion in St. Louis County, plans to add 270 jobs

ST. LOUIS - The pharmacy benefits manager Express Scripts Inc. will build a prescription fulfillment center in St. Louis County, creating 270 jobs.

Plans for the $60 million expansion were announced Thursday. The project will take place on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus, next to Express Scripts' corporate headquarters.

The new center will feature automation for the dispensing, packaging and shipment of 110,000 prescriptions per day. Construction is expected to conclude by April.

Lights out at U energy conference. Irony police notified.

Just as Lawrence Kazmerski, a top official at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, was about to give the keynote address at the University of Minnesota's annual E3 conference at the RiverCentre in St. Paul, the lights went out, bathing the audience in darkness and a deep sense of irony.
