SILVER SPRING, Md. - Choice Hotels International Inc. said Thursday it signed an agreement with online travel company Expedia Inc. to list its lodging properties on Expedia and Hotels.com Web sites.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Within a week Choice hotels will start to be available on Expedia.com and Hotels.com sites worldwide, and later on Hotwire.com.
Choice Hotels franchises more than 6,000 hotels in the U.S. and more than 35 other countries and territories, under the brand names Comfort Inn, Econo Lodge and Clarion, among others.
Choice Hotels shares were flat at $32.50 in afternoon trading, while Expedia shares were down 28 cents at $23.81.
