OMAHA, Neb. - Billionaires Warren Buffett and Bill Gates will meet with Columbia University business students on Thursday and answer their questions about business and life.
The world's two-richest men planned this forum at Columbia because Buffett earned his master's degree there in 1951.
This will be the third such forum the two friends have done.
In 2005, Gates and Buffett met with students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where Buffett earned his bachelor's degree. The pair answered questions in 1998 from University of Washington business students near Gates' home in Medina, Wash.
Buffett, the chairman of investment company Berkshire Hathaway, also regular meets with groups of college students in Omaha.
Highlights of the Columbia forum will air on cable's CNBC in an hour-long special Thursday at 8 p.m.
Gates is the co-founder and chairman of Microsoft Corp.

Lights out at U energy conference. Irony police notified.
Just as Lawrence Kazmerski, a top official at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, was about to give the keynote address at the University of Minnesota's annual E3 conference at the RiverCentre in St. Paul, the lights went out, bathing the audience in darkness and a deep sense of irony.
