Ralcorp Holdings announces resignation of Post Foods President Stephen Van Tassel

ST. LOUIS - The president of Post Foods has resigned and will be succeeded on an interim basis by the co-chief executive of corporate parent Ralcorp Holdings Inc.

Stephen Van Tassel announced his resignation Monday as Post president to pursue other career interests. David P. Skarie, co-CEO and president of Ralcorp Holdings, will assume the duties as Post president.

Ralcorp produces Post branded cereals, a variety of store-brand foods, and frozen bakery products sold to in-store bakeries, restaurants and other foodservice customers.

Shares closed earlier up 98 cents at $55.76.

Lights out at U energy conference. Irony police notified.

Just as Lawrence Kazmerski, a top official at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, was about to give the keynote address at the University of Minnesota's annual E3 conference at the RiverCentre in St. Paul, the lights went out, bathing the audience in darkness and a deep sense of irony.
