Northrop Grumman gets $15.6 million Navy deal for services on Hawkeye

WASHINGTON - Northrop Grumman Corp. received a $15.6 million contract boost from the Navy to provide aircraft data management services on the E-2D Hawkeye, the Pentagon said late Monday.

Work will be performed in Bethpage, N.Y., Grand Rapids, Mich. and other locations and is expected to be completed by July 2012.

Shares of the Los Angeles-based company added $1.56, or 3 percent, to close at $53.93.

Lights out at U energy conference. Irony police notified.

Just as Lawrence Kazmerski, a top official at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, was about to give the keynote address at the University of Minnesota's annual E3 conference at the RiverCentre in St. Paul, the lights went out, bathing the audience in darkness and a deep sense of irony.
