STURGIS, S.D. - As many as 30 new jobs are coming to the South Dakota town of Sturgis.
California-based Bar-Sto Precision Machine Co. has announced plans to open a new facility on the south end of the Sturgis industrial park.
The Bar-Sto plant will manufacture precision gun barrels for most of the handguns in use today by law enforcement agencies, as well as by competitive shooters.
Bar-Sto CEO Irv Stone said the local business community and economic development group did a good job making the company feel welcome.
Construction begins in the spring.
