Lockheed Martin receives $143.2 million Air Force contract for electronics upgrades for C-5

WASHINGTON - Lockheed Martin Corp. received a $143.2 million contract from the Air Force for electronics upgrades for the C-5 aircraft, the Pentagon said late Friday.

Shares of the Bethesda, Md., company added 91 cents to close at $73.77.

Lights out at U energy conference. Irony police notified.

Just as Lawrence Kazmerski, a top official at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, was about to give the keynote address at the University of Minnesota's annual E3 conference at the RiverCentre in St. Paul, the lights went out, bathing the audience in darkness and a deep sense of irony.
