The Twins have no stomach for Papa John's, either.

The team has "indefinitely suspended" the pizza chain from its Target Field food lineup just days after the founder and board chairman was forced out for making a racial slur on a conference call, Twins spokesman Dustin Morse said Friday.

The Twins join the Miami Marlins, Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees in severing ties with Papa John's Pizza.

The Minnesota Lynx WNBA team also has suspended all current promotions with Papa John's and "will continue to evaluate the direction of their company in light of recent events," the team said in a statement.

John Schnatter has apologized for his comment, first reported by Forbes magazine, in a May phone call with the company's marketing firm about preventing future public-relations stumbles.

The corporate office has distanced itself from the 56-year-old billionaire, removing his image from marketing materials, the Associated Press reported.

Also on Friday, the University of Louisville stripped the Papa John's name from its football stadium.
