Last update: March 2, 2009 - 8:15 PM

To the list of declining commodities prices, add teeth.

Securian Dental Plans and Delta Dental of Minnesota have come out with their annual Tooth Fairy polls, and both organizations say the value of your little one's teeth have taken a double-digit drop.

Securian's Tooth Fairy poll reports the current average "gift" U.S. children receive from the Tooth Fairy is $1.88 per tooth, down from last year's gift of $2.09 -- a 10 percent decrease.

At Delta Dental of Minnesota, the poll found that Minnesota children receive an average of $1.62 per tooth, down from last year's gift of $2.10 -- a 23 percent drop.

Meanwhile sugar futures are down 18.7 percent from a year ago.
