Awear Technologies, an emerging company headed by veteran corporate marketer and college professor Rod Greder, was one of 12 companies honored for advancing technology Thursday night at the 15th annual Tekne Awards of the Minnesota High Technology Association.

Awear, working with the University of Minnesota and other partners, develops eyewear that provides improvement of cognitive skills needed by students with learning disabilities.

Some of the other winners were:

•T3 Scientific, which has developed a line of contaminant-resistant and long-term stable gas purification membrane products, used for separating hydrogen from fossil fuel and biomass gas streams.

•Ecolab, for its contributions toward improved treatment of waste water fouled by hydraulic-fracturing used in oil and gas drilling. Ecolab also was honored for its recently introduced Antimicrobial Fruit & Vegetable Treatment, a no-rinse produce wash reduces that 99.9 percent of the pathogens E. coli, Listeria and Salmonella in produce wash water.

• Code42 Software for its SharePlan, a product that allows companies and consumers to swiftly synchronize and share large files across mobile devices and computers.

• SPS Commerce, a leader in cloud-based supply chain management, for responding to the challenges of the new multichannel retail distribution era with the SPS Commerce Universal Network, "an agile solution developed exclusively in the cloud that embraces innovation and the changes that today's retailers are facing."

• Calabrio, which through its latest innovation, Calabrio Analytics, allows business to capture all customer voice and text conversations, improving outcomes through better customer knowledge.

• Genesis 10, the talent-placement firm, for workforce-development programs that help employers recruit, cultivate and retain productive workforces.
