Nabel is president of Brigham & Women's Hospital and Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital and a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. Nabel was appointed to the board's nominating and corporate governance committee and the quality and technology Committee.
Cardiovascular Systems Inc., New Brighton, announced that board member Scott Ward will be named chairman at the annual meeting on Nov. 12. The current chairman, Glen Nelson, has given the board notice he will not stand for re-election at the meeting. The board named Nelson chairman emeritus in appreciation for his service.
