Karen Richard

At the top

Andersen Corp., Bayport, named Karen Richard senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Richard was chief human resources officer and senior vice president of Human Capital with Select Comfort Corp. She serves on the board for Make-A-Wish Minnesota and has served on the executive advisory board of People Answers.

Otter Tail Corp., Fergus Falls, Minn., named Charles MacFarlane president and chief operating officer effective April 14. MacFarlane was the president and chief executive of Otter Tail Power Co. He joined the company in 2001 and has worked for Xcel Energy as director of electric distribution planning and engineering.

Moving up

Knutson Construction, Golden Valley, named Tom Wood project executive. Wood has been with Knutson’s project management team for 11 years and has served as senior project manager on the Mother Baby Center in Minneapolis.

Boeckermann, Grafstrom & Mayer, Bloomington, named Dane Boeckermann principal. Boeckermann joined the firm in 2007 and is the board treasurer for Northern Voices. Boeckermann, Grafstrom & Mayer also named Jacob Enger manager.

Coldwell Banker Burnet, Edina, named Rob Mehta director of strategic planning and initiatives. Mehta joined Coldwell Banker Burnet’s Plymouth office as a sales manager in 2011 and has been in the real estate industry for more than 16 years.

On the move

Fullerton Cos., Plymouth, named Mark Bosch director of operations for the Fullerton building systems division. Bosch was president and chief executive of Bossardt Corp. and has worked for Huntington Engineering and Environmental and PCL Construction Service.

PineappleRM, Anoka, named Anne Schopen director of client services. Schopen has worked for Ordway Center for Performing Arts, Children’s Theatre Company, Risdall McKinney Public Relations, Foley Sackett and Fallon Worldwide.

Honors

Minnesota Subcontractors Association gave Tony Grazzini the MSA Champions Award, Doug Jaeger project manager of the year, Rob Sticha construction superintendent of the year and Karin McCabe construction professional of the year.

Minnesota Jaycees, St. Louis Park, elected Joel Blom president. Blom served as president of the Hopkins Area Jaycees.

Minnesota Trucking Association named Milt Lowe Minnesota 2013 Truck Driver of the Year. Lowe has driven commercially for 45 years and has driven accident-free for more than 3.5 million miles.
