Berg was the chief executive for Z Wireless and has held leadership positions at Outback Steakhouse International, General Nutrition Centers and Best Buy. He serves on the board for Imation and the Miller Retailing Center at the University of Florida.

Colliers International Minneapolis-St. Paul named Tom Palmquist senior vice president. Palmquist was vice president of commercial properties for CSM Corp. and has held leadership positions at Robert Muir and Ryan Cos.

The Opus Group, Minnetonka, named Dean Newins senior vice president, architecture. Newins was a partner at OTJ Architects in Washington, D.C., and was a principal at Opus Architects & Engineers.

HealthCare Interactive, Edina, named Michelle Barclay vice president. Barclay was vice president of program services for the Alzheimer's Association's Minnesota-North Dakota chapter. She has 20 years of experience working with people with dementia and their care partners.

Schermer, Minneapolis, named Paul Frett vice president of experience and engagement. Frett has held leadership positions at Atomic Playpen, Popular Front and Target.

Advantus Capital Management, St. Paul, named Robin Lenarz investment counsel. Lenarz has worked for Ameriprise Financial and is a graduate of Hamline University and Harvard Law School.

Larson King, St. Paul, named Anthony Novak partner. Novak has been an attorney for Larson King since 2005 and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School.

Honors

The International Association of Fairs and Expositions inducted Jerry Hammer to the hall of fame. Hammer is the Minnesota State Fair's executive vice president and general manager and joined the State Fair full-time staff in 1977.
