Life Time expansion

Feltl and Co. analyst Brent Rystrom wrote in advance of Life Time Fitness opening its latest upscale health and fitness center in Montvale, N.J., on Saturday. Rystrom maintains his “strong buy” rating on Life Time and said this store opening will be “the first of a major cycle of accelerated store openings for Life Time.”

Rystrom looks at Life Time’s annual “Commitment Day” events, which include “5K fun/walk’’ events in various cities, as clues. “We view some of the Commitment Day locations as likely hints for future club development plans,” he wrote.

Robinson misses

On Tuesday, C.H. Robinson Worldwide reported third-quarter earnings that missed analysts’ expectations. Wunderlich Securities analysts Chaz Jones wrote that the global third-party logistics company has missed expectations for the fifth consecutive quarter.

Jones is shifting his focus from the earnings release to an upcoming meeting with management for more clues on the company’s growth. “We expect CHRW to overhaul its long-term targets during its Nov. 19 analyst and investor day,” he wrote. Jones is maintaining his “hold” rating at least until then.
