The Rochester office of Kraus-Anderson Construction Co. says it was selected to build the $29 million pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade United South Central School in Wells, Minn. The 155,000-square-foot building will replace a school in which sections date to 1933.

The new school will be on 66 acres and will also feature a new bus garage, practice fields, varsity fields and tennis courts. The facility will serve about 625 students.

The architect on the project is Minneapolis-based SGN/Wendel. Construction will begin in the spring and is expected to be completed by September 2014.
