Webdigs: How it works

Who gets what on a $350,000 listing:

TRADITIONAL REALTOR

Realtors typically charge 6 percent of the sales price, split as follows:

Seller's agent: $11,550 (3.3%)

Buyer's agent: $9,450 (2.7%)

Total: $21,000 (6.0%)

WEBDIGS.COM FEES

Seller's agent: $3,000*

Buyer's agent: $9,450*

Total: $12,450*

Webdigs takes one-third of the buyer's agent fee or $3,000, whichever is greater. The rest is passed on to the buyer. In this case that means:

Webdigs' share: $3,150

Buyer receives: $6,300

SUMMARY

Seller pays: $12,450

Seller's agent gets: $3,000

Webdigs gets: $3,150

Buyer gets: $6,300
