Teamsters President James P. Hoffa expressed "concerns" about Local 120, including apparent irregularities in the construction of a new union hall and the operation of a bar in Fargo, N.D.
The Teamsters Independent Review Board, created two decades ago at the behest of the U.S. Justice Department, conducted the investigation over the past several months.
Local 120, based in Blaine, has about 10,000 members and is best known for representing drivers, freight handlers and warehouse workers.
