Norwest Equity Partners, Minneapolis, announced that it has acquired Quadion Corp., d.b.a. Minnesota Rubber & Plastic, Plymouth. MR&P employs more than 1,100 people in nine facilities worldwide. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

NEW PRODUCTS

Covidien Inc., Plymouth, announced the launch of the VianceCrossing Catheter and Enteer Re-entry System for treating chronic total occlusions (CTOs) endovascularly.

Ecolab Inc., St. Paul, introduces Greaselift, a noncorrosive and biodegradable kitchen degreasing solution for the food service industry that has the power of caustic degreasers, but does not require the use of protective gloves, goggles or aprons.

PERSONNEL

Atomic Playpen, Minneapolis, a full-service digital agency, announced that Troy Venjohn has taken on a new role as sole CEO and managing partner. Venjohn has been with the agency for 13 years and is one of the founding partners.

Healthland, St. Louis Park, named Patrick Spangler to the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer. Healthland provides fully integrated software solutions to rural community and critical access hospitals.
