High oil prices likely to linger

Economists at Standard & Poor's predict that average oil prices will remain high throughout all of 2008. They raised their forecast Tuesday for prices on West Texas Intermediate crude oil. Here is what they now expect:

FIRST QUARTER:

$95 per barrel

SECOND QUARTER:

$103 per barrel

THIRD QUARTER:

$97 per barrel

FOURTH QUARTER:

$92 per barrel
