Moving up

PwC US, Minneapolis, promoted Jennifer Moll, John Satelmajer and Tammy Wojtasiak to partner in PwC's assurance practice. Moll works with financial services and insurance clients, Satelmajer serves banking and asset management clients, and Wojtasiak helps retail, consumer and industrial products clients.

Franke+Fiorella, a Minneapolis-based brand identity design firm, promoted Jenny Lovlein to studio manager.

On the move

Faegre Baker Daniels' Minneapolis law office hired Paul Sherburne as an intellectual property associate. He came from Medtronic's neuromodulation division.

Minneapolis law firm Gray Plant Mooty hired Loren Hansen as an associate with the litigation practice group. Before becoming a lawyer, Hansen worked as a consultant with Accenture Ltd. to design and develop custom software packages.


Kristen Kemper, formerly of the Minnesota Orchestra, was recently awarded the Disability Achievement Award for advancing the legal rights of disabled employees in Minnesota. The Mansfield, Tanick & Cohen law firm made the award.

Nilan Johnson Lewis, Minneapolis, and client partner Target Corp. were named "Value Champions" by the Association of Corporate Counsel for their efforts in developing and advancing a value-based approach to managing legal services.


MPR News, St. Paul, won the 2012 National Association for Black Journalists' top award for radio investigative reporting for "Following the Firearms: Gun Violence in Minneapolis." The series documented the sources of guns used in street crimes in Minneapolis and showed the impact of violence involving illegal guns. The MPR News team for the series included Brandt Williams and Laura Yuen, reporters; Laura McCallum, series radio editor; David Cazares, series Web editor, Jeffrey Thompson, video and photo; and Steve Mullis, Web production.

Weber Shandwick, Minneapolis, and several clients were recently honored with two Silver Anvil Awards from the Public Relations Society of America. Weber Shandwick, the Minnesota Pork Board and the Minnesota Pork Producers Association won Silver Anvils for "Oink Outings: A Passion for Pork From Farm to Fork."
