Homeowners meeting the initial eligibility criteria were mailed notification letters with a request form last year. If you think you were wronged by your mortgage provider in 2009 or 2010, mail the form in or request a free, independent foreclosure review by calling 1-888-952-9105 or going to www.independentforeclosurereview.com. To be eligible, the loan must have been for the borrower's primary residence and serviced by one of the 14 mortgage providers sanctioned by regulators, including firms such as Wells Fargo, America's Servicing Co., Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase and Countrywide. The new deadline is Sept. 30.
