Best Buy Co. Inc. is finalizing terms related to former CEO Brian Dunn's resignation and the naming of his interim successor, board member G. "Mike" Mikan, the company said Wednesday in documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Dunn resigned Tuesday amid an investigation by the Richfield-based electronics retailer into allegations that he engaged in personal misconduct. Mikan, a Best Buy board member since 2008 and former UnitedHelath Group Inc. executive, was named interim CEO.

In it filings, Best Buy said the terms relating to Dunn's departure and Mikan's interim appointment will be disclosed in subsequent filings. It said Mikan will remain on the board but will no longer serve on its audit and compensation committees while serving as the interim CEO.
