Risdall Marketing Group, New Brighton, hired George Creel as chief marketing officer, research director in the strategic consultation department. At Periscope, Creel was vice president and director of account planning and research.

AgeWell, Edina, named Julie Pitsenbarger general manager for the Twin Cities. Pitsenbarger previously served as a campus administrator at Presbyterian Homes and Services and as a senior executive director for Sunrise Senior Living.

U.S. Bancorp, Minneapolis, has named Marsha Cruzan market president for U.S. Bank in Chicago. Cruzan comes to U.S. Bank from J.P. Morgan, where she had been since 1979. Most recently, she served as managing director for J.P. Morgan as well as in the bank's wealth management group.

Crash+Sues, Minneapolis, named Erik Therwanger director of business development for the firm, which produces visual effects, animation and editorial services. The former Marine studied cinema/TV at the University of Southern California and most recently had been vice president of SMV Complete Media in California.


The Minnesota Optometric Association, Minneapolis, elected Teresa Theobald, of Theobald Family Eye Care, Duluth, president; Jonathan Schorn, of Focused Eye Care, Lakeville, president-elect; Larry D. Morrison, of Morrison Eye Care, Mahnomen, vice president; Nicholas Colatrella, of PineCone Vision Center, Sartell, treasurer. Elected to the board were Sam Villella, of Allina Clinic Eye Center, Cambridge; Matthew Bauer, of Open Cities Health Center, St. Paul, and Michael Ackermann, of Ackermann Total Eye Care, Lake City.

Xcel Energy Inc., Minneapolis, elected Gail Koziara Boudreaux to the board of directors. She is CEO of UnitedHealthcare, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group.


U.S. News & World Report named the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine as one of the best nursing homes in Minnesota.

Aging Services of Minnesota, St. Paul, named social worker Sarah Beckius of Belle Plaine its 2012 Caregiver of the Year. Beckius has spent her 31-year career at the Lutheran Home campus in Belle Plaine. Gov. Mark Dayton presented the award at the Aging Services Institute, a gathering of more than 1,500 aging services professionals in Minneapolis.

Marco Inc., St. Cloud, has been honored by Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc. with the 2012 Pro-Tech Service Excellence Award. The award recognizes those Konica Minolta digital imaging system dealers that demonstrate the highest commitment to customer support and satisfaction.
