MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS

UnitedHealthcare, a unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, has completed its acquisition of XLHealth Corp., a sponsor of Medicare Advantage health plans with a primary focus on Medicare recipients with special needs, such as those with chronic illness and those eligible for Medicaid.

According to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, State Street Corp., Boston, has acquired about 24.6 million shares, or 5.1 percent, of Minneapolis-based Xcel Energy Inc., and Blackrock Inc., Denver, has acquired 24.5 million shares, or 5 percent, of Xcel Energy.

DEBT AND EQUITIES

C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc., Eden Prairie, declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 33 cents per share, payable April 2 to shareholders of record on March 2. As of Feb. 9, there were about 163.6 million shares outstanding.

G&K Services Inc., Minnetonka, declared a quarterly dividend of 13 cents per share, payable March 21 to shareholders of record on March 7.

UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, declared a dividend of 16.25 cents per share, payable March 19 to shareholders of record on March 5.

PERSONNEL

Universal Hospital Services Inc., Edina, named William Mixon president. Mixon was the CEO and president of US Investigations Services, a commercial provider of background investigations to the federal government.
