MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS

Meritex Enterprises, Roseville, a private real estate investment and management company, has sold an Ohio warehouse for $4.85 million, a Tennessee warehouse for $16.1 million and an office building at 444 Lafayette Road, St. Paul, for $36 million.

NEW PRODUCTS

Primera Technology Inc., Plymouth, a manufacturer of CD, DVD, Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD duplication and printing equipment, announced availability of its new PTRip Software. PTRip gives users of Primera's Bravo-Series Disc Publishers the ability to automatically load CDs into their Publishers' built-in CD/DVD drives for importing audio tracks into Apple iTunes or Microsoft Windows Media Player.

PERSONNEL MOVES

HealthEast Care System, St. Paul, named Nadine Paitich its new home care executive for its HealthEast Home Care business.

Merrill Corp., St. Paul, promoted Roy Gross to president of its marketing and communications business.

Lights out at U energy conference. Irony police notified.

Just as Lawrence Kazmerski, a top official at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, was about to give the keynote address at the University of Minnesota's annual E3 conference at the RiverCentre in St. Paul, the lights went out, bathing the audience in darkness and a deep sense of irony.
