Uroplasty Inc. said Monday two additional private insurance plans will now cover its nerve stimulation device system to treat symptoms of overactive bladder.

The Plymouth-based medical device company said Health Care Service Corp., which covers about 13 million people in Texas, Illinois, New Mexico and Oklahoma, will cover the Urgent PC Neuromodulation System effective Aug. 1. In addition, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, which covers 668,000 people, initiated coverage of the system beginning May 18.

David Kaysen, president and CEO of Uroplasty, said the company has secured insurance coverage from three of the four largest private payers in the United States for the system which zaps the tibial nerve in the ankle to treat overactive bladder.
