NEW BUSINESS

Cargill Inc., Hopkins, has opened a technology and innovation center in Campinas, Brazil. The result of a $12.6 million investment, the Innovation Center features multiple laboratories to serve customers in the beverage, baking, confectionery, convenience foods and dairy categories. It also includes a flavor and aroma laboratory, and an industrial lab to create and develop ingredients and applications for the paper, textile, corrugated and biopolymer market.

SwiftKnowledge, an Eden Prairie-based provider of Web-based business intelligence software, has signed a partnership agreement with the management consulting firm West Monroe Partners, under which West Monroe will implement the SwiftKnowledge for Banking application.

Shoreview-based Ecumen has completed development of a $16.3 million 63-unit memory care and assisted living housing community in Lincoln, Neb., on behalf of Lincoln-based client Tabitha Health Services.
