MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS

Wind Energy America Inc., Eden Prairie, has entered into a letter of intent for a business combination with Boreal Energy Inc., a Minnesota corporation. Wind Energy intends to buy substantially all of Boreal's wind-energy assets in a tax-free exchange for Wind Energy common stock.

IMI Cornelius has sold its 432,286-square-foot building in Anoka to Eniva Corp. Terms were not disclosed. IMI Cornelius closed its operations at the facility in 2002. Eniva Corp. makes a line of nutritional vitamin supplement products.

NEW BUSINESS

Cargill Inc., Minnetonka, announced plans to supply and trade private-label olive oil worldwide in a joint venture with Spain's Hojiblanca, the world's biggest producer. The venture is subject to approval from Spanish authorities.
