The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Minneapolis has settled discrimination allegations against the Chino Latino restaurant, the commission said Thursday.
The federal agency, which enforces workplace rights, had sued the Uptown restaurant alleging discrimination against Hispanic workers and retaliation against those who complained.
The court-approved consent decree requires Chino Latino to pay $325,000 to workers, and to take several steps to protect the future rights of diverse workers, including management training and a new hot line.
