Exponent PR, Minneapolis, hired Lilly Chow as an associate and Keith Negrin as a practice leader. Before joining Exponent, Chow spent time at Ogilvy Public Relations in New York, where she conducted digital research and managed social media for DuPont Performance Polymers and the Mexico Tourism Board. Negrin has worked with brands such as Sherwin-Williams, General Mills, Clorox, Hasbro, H&R Block and CaringBridge, and has helped develop campaigns that have received PRSA Classics, PRSA Anvils, SABRE and PR Week award recognition.
Farmer, Lumpe + McClelland, a Minneapolis marketing and communications company, hired Mark Pafko as senior copywriter. He comes to FLM from consumer electronics retailer Best Buy. He is the winner of a RAMA's Retail Advertising Conference award.
St. Thomas Academy, Mendota Heights, elected three new members to its board of trustees: the Rev. Dennis Dease, the 14th president of the University of St. Thomas; William Lentsch, the senior vice president of Minnesota operations for Delta Air Lines; and David Hallett, a managing director at Lazard Middle Market in Minneapolis, which specializes in merger and acquisition transactions. Lentsch is also the board chairman of Bridging Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides donated home furnishings to underprivileged individuals and families in Minnesota.
Colle+McVoy, Minneapolis, hired Bryan Michurski as a group creative director. He has lent his advertising industry expertise to the media, including the Associated Press, CNN, Fox, NBC and ABC news networks. In addition, Colle+McVoy added two people to the agency's creative team: John Borchardt, as director of broadcast. Borchardt has produced award-winning work as a TV and film producer. He has experience with Super Bowl TV, as well as with brands such as Dairy Queen, Ford Motor Co., H&R Block, Hostess and Totino's. Derek Kirchhoff was hired as interactive creative developer. Kirchhoff has experience with Intel, Best Buy, UnitedHealth Group and 3M, among other brands.
Maguire Agency, Roseville, an independent insurance agency offering commercial and personal insurance lines, has been recognized by the Auto-Owners Insurance Co. of Lansing, Mich., as one of the carrier's top 10 growth agencies in Minnesota in 2011.
