Rebekkah Brunson, the Lynx's 6-2 veteran forward, had 12 points and 11 rebounds as Nadezhda of Orenburg, Russia, won 65-60 victory over Tarbes [France] on Wednesday in EuroLeague Group B action. The win improves Nadezhda's record to 2-1.

One of Brunson's teammates is Indiana Fever forward Katie Douglas, who has 17 points. The two played for Ros Casares, a team in Spain last winter.

In Madrid, Seimone Augustus scored a game-high 25 points but Spartak Moscow Region fell to host Rivas 75-73 in the EuroLeague.

"These things happen sometimes," Augustus said. "We know coming here that it would be a tough game and we would have some difficult moments, but for us it's just one lost game. Now we have to think about the next one, the season is long."

Spartak is coached by Chicago Sky coach Pokey Chatman and one of Augustus' teammates is San Antonio guard Becky Hammon who had 15 points.

Connecticut Sun star Asjha Jones led Rivas with 25 points, including the winning basket with three seconds left.
