Long hike to the Capitol pays off

Posted by: Jenna Ross under People Updated: July 28, 2010 - 5:08 PM

Those four Minnesota State University, Mankato students who walked 95 miles to Capitol have something to show for it, besides blisters.

The DFL candidates for governor will face off there Friday, in a debate hosted by Debate Minnesota.

Senior Tom Williams called to say that's because of the walk. They had hoped to bring a forum to town, and they succeeded.

The Free Press has details about the debate, should you wish to attend.
