Heard about this the other day, but it's now official.
Former Wild winger and Bloomington Jefferson and St. Cloud State star Mark Parrish has signed a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning, agent John Vollan said this morning.
Parrish, who has been on a number of pro tryout contracts with Tampa's AHL affiliate, Norfork, all season, has been placed on waivers by the Lightning. If he clears at 11 a.m. tomorrow, he'll either make his Lightning debut before the Olympic break before being assigned to Norfolk for the Olympic break, or just go right to Norfolk to play until the Olympic break is over.
Regardless, the plan is for Mark Parrish to be back in the NHL with the Lightning after the Olympics.
