An Eden Prairie resident bought three pairs of jeans, but discovered that whenever she puts them on and sits on her gold microfiber couch, they leave their mark. She soaked the jeans overnight in hot water and washed them with vinegar and salt, but they still bleed blue. Here’s what she wrote to Whistleblower:

My cleaner … was here yesterday to clean my sofa, and the blue dye will not come out … (The jeans) have all been washed many times, and yet, if I rub them with a damp white cloth, the blue dye still transfers onto the cloth. My $5,000 couch is ruined. Do you have any idea what my recourse would be?
Everybody knows that new clothes can sometimes bleed. But should clothing companies be responsible to make sure this type of damage doesn't happen?
