Rep. Michele Bachmann will be boosting her frequent-flier mileage in the next few weeks with a pair of appearances certain to boost her already-skyrocketing national profile.

The Sixth District Republican is heading to California next week to address the Lincoln Club of Orange County, an organization that bills itself as "limiting government, expanding freedom." It has in the past hosted a slew of prominent Republicans, including former presidents Bush (the younger), Reagan, Ford and Nixon.

The group describes Bachmann thusly:

"a rising GOP star who most recently gained national attention for her strong opposition to Obamacare. a "Right-Wing Extremist" by the Left, she is a national security hawk who is speaking out against the Administration's policy to try terrorists in American courts. She is Nancy Pelosi's #1 target in the House for her conservative stances on critical issues such as healthcare, national security, and the expansion of government."

The fundraiser next Thursday costs a cool $500 per person.

Next up, North Dakota. Bachmann is scheduled to headline a "Take Back America" rally in Bismarck on Feb. 12 sponsored by the state's GOP.  The party touts her as "one of America's best-known conservatives."
