Republican U.S. Senate candidates Scott Brown (Mass.), Rob Portman (Ohio) and Richard Burr (North Carolina) got some love from Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty on his redesigned Web site in a section called candidates.

Minnesota's three Republican U.S. Reps. Michele Bachmann, Erik Paulsen and John Kline also get bio mentions and links for folks to contribute.

Meanwhile, the mountains are gone from the background of Pawlenty's new site replaced with a very Minnesota-rooted vista of flat prairie. The old site featured a landscape rather un-Minnesotan-looking mountains off in the distance. The new background is from photo stock and Pawlenty spokesman Alex Conant said he didn't know where it was taken.

The source of the site's redesign roots is firmly with the conservatives and the libertarians

. According to the Atlantic, the site is "notable for the folks who've designed it: Terra Eclipse, which helped Ron Paul raise gobs of money through its "money bomb" techniques in 2007 and 2008 and helped Paul's ReLOVEution organize rallies and campaign events." The Terra Eclipse people have also designed sites for Freedom Works, the Libertarian Party and Scrap the Code, the folks who want to get rid of the tax code. Even with his choice of Web gurus, TPaw is sending a message.
