One night after they ended that five-game losing streak by beating Indiana at home...

Kevin Love played just 22 minutes and Al Jefferson 27 on a night in Chicago when Kurt Rambis suggested before the game he is considering some lineup adjustments and after the game appeared to be thinking even harder about it.

Stating his two best players grew fatigued, frustrated and inattentive on the defensive end, Rambis limited their playing time while experimenting with the unlikely trio of Nathan Jawai, Brian Cardinal and Oleksiy Pecherov in an effort to get somebody, anybody from letting the Bulls' bigs from parading to the basket.

(The Bulls outscored the Wolves 48-30 and outrebounded 46-38 on a night when neither Love and Jefferson recorded a double-double game for only the second time since Love made his season debut Dec. 4 in New Orleans.

Rambis has brought Ryan Gomes off the bench for all seven games since Gomes returned from that high-ankle sprain injury. Rambis says he has done so because he needs some punch from a second unit that might reconfigure further, judging from his words and mood after tonight's game:

"I'm still looking at ways to find two units that can be more productive for us," Rambis said. "There might be a player or two who has to make a sacrifice in terms of giving up their starting positions so that we can have two solid units and don't have this drop-off with the second unit."

Whether that's actually intended to improve the second unit or starting unit, I'm not sure...

A few other things about tonight:

* Reserve center Ryan Hollins didn't accompany the team to Chicago because of that upper respiratory infection and Rambis said he didn't know if Hollins either is: A. improving. B. or will be well enough to join the team in Denver for Monday's game against the Nuggets.

* "Shooting" guards Corey Brewer and Wayne Ellington combined to shoot 4 for 16: Ellington was 1 for 7, Brewer 3 for 9, and two of those three makes were three pointers.

* Ramon Sessions played a season low 9:54.

* Jonny Flynn faced Derrick Rose for the first time (Rose was injured during two preseason meetings) and held his own: 14 points, 8 assists, 3 turnovers, 2 steals and 6 for 14 shooting vs. Rose's 8 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 turnover and 3 for 7 shooting.

* Pavlovic's 23:47 played were his most since Nov. 11 vs. Portland. His 9 points were second most off the bench nexdt to Gomes' 15 (for the second time in as many nights).

That's all from Chicago tonight.

The Wolves flew to Denver after the game tonight and are scheduled to practice tomorrow afternoon on this four-game trip that has them playing the Nuggets Monday, at Houston Wednesday and at Memphis on Friday.
