Last minute clearance at local small retailers

Two local retailers, Fringe in Hopkins and Uber baby in Minneapolis have excellent sales going on now. 

Uber Outlet is having a $5-$10-$15 sale. Baby blankets and towels that were $60 or more at upscale department stores such as Nordstrom are $5, Tizra baby and  tennis shoes are $10, regularly up to $120, boys and girls 3-piece outfits (jeans, shirt, jacket) from Polo and others are $15, regularly $70. Men'a and women's apparel is 50 to 90 percent off, including men's ties 2 for $10, reg. up to $125 each. High-end candles and dessert plates from a local Edina boutique are 50 to 80 percent off.

The women's accessory store Fringe (723 Mainstreet, Hopkins, 952-933-1163) always had low prices on designer-inspired items, but everything is now discounted an additional 50 percent for a moving sale. Earrings, bracelets and necklaces  are $2.50-$7.50 on sale, handbags $10.00 to $30.00, scarves $7.50, furniture and mirrors $50.00-$200.00. Everything is final sale. The new location will be near 50th and France in Edina.

Mode designer outlet (7781 Main St., Maple Grove, 763-391-6102) gives last-minute holiday shoppers what they want — discounts in excess of 50 percent. Designer handbags by MZ Wallace that were $395 are $63. Seven styles include a leather clutch, an oversized bag, a small tote and a sequined party bag. Barefoot Dreams cardigan wraps that retail for $110 and sell online for $60 are $6.50. Giorgio Armani fragrances are $10, regularly $52 to $80, including men’s and women’s Code in 2.5- to 4.2-oz. sizes. All of the products are brand new. The sale lasts from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
